Here in Nola, we call our medians (land in between roads and highways) the “neutral ground.” This is where we set up to wait for the parades to roll by during Mardi Gras season, sipping on our Daquiris, cutting up with friends & family. When the parades start rollin, this is where we catch our throws and take shelter under the closest tent when the rain hits. Nostalgia at its finest!
