OUR STORY & WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

For over five years, Novel Nola has been dedicated to recycling every piece of glass we can get our hands on. Our glass storage facility has become overgrown as we’ve welcomed countless locals to drop off their glass, reusable packaging, and materials, fostering a community committed to sustainability.

However, our journey has not been without challenges. Hurricanes Ida, Zeta, and most recently Francine, have left our workspace battered and in constant need of repair. In January 2023, we took a big step forward, moving into a 2,200 sq ft warehouse to expand our mission. This space was intended to serve as a hub for local makers, glass donations, and creative collaboration.

Sadly, due to unforeseen zoning issues and building ownership complications, we were forced to move out. Our entire operation was packed up and relocated back into our founder’s backyard and her 400 sq ft guest house—right when momentum was building.

HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS

Your contributions are more than financial support—they’re an investment in resilience, community, and sustainability. Every dollar helps us:

  • Rebuild and maintain our workspace

  • Expand our recycling and glass collection efforts

  • Support collaborations with local makers

  • Continue creating sustainable, handmade products

Your support keeps our dream alive, allowing us to push forward despite every obstacle.
